Road to Recovery: For the Manufacturing Industry
Road to Recovery For the Manufacturing Industry

As the world slowly begins to reopen and we return to a “new normal,” we will be facing a very different type of working environment. With new CDC guidelines and states changing their laws constantly, it can be hard to keep up. We’ve compiled a list of best practices for the manufacturing industry that you can implement at your organization to keep your employees’ health and safety top of mind, including reviewing your current practices and procedures. Are any out-of-date? Should some be forgotten altogether? Ask your employees what works and what doesn’t so you can ensure you’re being as efficient as possible.

One of the biggest trends is a push for more manufacturing plants to open on U.S. soil or return from overseas. With new manufacturing plants come increased headcount, an influx of onboarding, and so much more. Make sure you’re prepared for new headcount and what their onboarding and day-to-day process will look like.

Human capital management (HCM) technology can offer powerful tools to help your people when they need it most. You can ensure that your organization remains compliant and up-to-date as new provisions come to light. Plus, your employees will be able to access important information, such as payroll, PTO requests, and more, no matter where they are. This reduces administrative tasks for HR. Your HCM solution could help you return to work as smoothly and efficiently as possible. If you feel that your current solution is out-of-date and causing more burdens and setbacks, re-evaluate what you needed during the crisis and its aftermath. When the time comes to re-evaluate, you will know what you absolutely need in a system.

As always, please continuously check your state’s guidelines to make sure you’re meeting changing requirements to keep everyone safe and healthy.
